KFC Shah Alam Mall

Today my family & I ate KFC for dinner at home. I went to KFC Shah Alam Mall to take away my order. I specifically ordered in an extremely clear voice but they still made the mistake. I went there around 9.15 p.m alone driving after Isyak prayer & watching chef wan's daughter's one night wedding at AFC Channel. It is an extravaganza wedding I would say. Hope they will last forever & not be like any other typical celebrities in Malaysia who married a foreigner & getting divorce eventually after a grand wedding etc. Lets hope the best for them. Amin. :) Ok, back to the topic. After I parked outside, I walked in & ordered. I specifically asked on the parts of the chicken = 2 spicy (rib & wing) & 2 original (both rib) when he wanted to take the chicken. After he packed & put on the counter, I asked again about the original parts because the spicy ones I can see what he took from the tray. I asked "yang original dua2 part rib kn ?" because I can sense this guy is not following what I have mentioned earlier. He replied "a'ah". Oukay, solved then I do not have to check the parts given. I have to wait due to my remaining order is still not ready. He puts my chicken at a closed counter next to his counter. In the mean time I went to withdraw my Mom's money. Then I went back to KFC straight to the closed counter to check on my order. He asked for my receipt & I gave him because he wanted to check on my orders & returned back the receipt. He said "satu lagi jom jimat box c" still in the making. I said "okay". I waited at the counter. In the mean time, I checked my order & my chicken parts just to make sure he got everything right. The orders are right but unfortunately the chicken parts where he is very sure of is totally wrong for the original ones. Previously he is being sure when I asked him or maybe being super lazy to remember & just say "a'ah". My mood that time was ok, so I have no intention to scold or anything. I just changed it & he said "owh, sorry ye kak". I would be mad if there was no rib parts at that time because I have specifically said clearly when I ordered. Lucky him. :) After box c is ready, I took all the food & went back home. To my surprise, exactly after I switched off the engine, I just realized that I ordered 2 snack plate with water so there should be 2 regular pepsi. OMG! At that point of time I am pissed of. So I restart the engine & msg Lil Sis to come down & follow me to take the remaining 2 regular pepsi because I do not want to off the engine, park & go through all the process again. I asked Lil Sis to say that I have been there, ordered, went home & just realized that the order is incomplete & I am angry about it. But Lil Sis came back with the pepsi & did not say what I have said because she said "ade akak nie yang bagi, die xtanye ape cume die tanye bile sedar". Lucky for them again. I went back & enjoy the dinner with my family regardless of the silly mistakes they made.

In conclusion to my story, if any of the KFC Shah Alam workers read my blog, please be very serious on your work, do your job right & follow carefully what your customer's want. You are in the service business so please give your very best services to the customer. Do not make customer mad over something that can be avoided if you are being careful over your work. Work at your level best. If you think you cannot handle that then just quit & find a job that suits you rather than make a lot of mistakes. I know the difficulties in the service business because I once worked in the customer service in Digi HQ as a Customer Care Consultant (name of the job is awesome but generally the job is about picking up the phone & solves customer query or complaint) but I quit after 2 months in the business. I will story about that later when there is time. ;p

If the store manager or regional manager of KFC Holdings read my blog, please people take actions. This is not the first time such mistakes happened to us from KFC Shah Alam Mall. I presume that other customer also experiencing such problem where the order is inaccurate. I have already write a feedback in their website www.kfc.com.my. The idea to write a feedback form came when I searched a KFC picture through google images & came across a picture of KFC meal from a blog who experienced a different problem with KFC. Thanx to the blogger who has giving me the idea. Hee.

Here is what I wrote in short description : "Complaint on not giving the right order. I have just realised the order they left out 2 regular pepsi (I've order 2 snack plate) when I got home. So I have to drive back and waste my time, money, petrol. It's not about the distance but it's about the hassle that I have to go back etc. They always forget something. And they are not focusing in their work. There is no kidding about the inaccuracy of order. They should be more careful, meticulous & detail about this. This is not my first time going there & this is not the first time happened. Please take note & improve your service."

P/S: Today exactly 10.51 a.m, KFC Shah Alam Mall call me regarding about the feedback I wrote. Wow, that was fast. I thought they will just ignore it. The manager (I assume) called me & said that she is sorry about the matter and make sure that it will not happen again in the future. I just say okay bcuz I just woke up. She had interrupted my sleep. ;)

  1. Be patient, everyone make mistakes either intentionally or not. In the end "bersabar itu separuh daripada iman." ;)

  3. Do not scold doesn't mean that you're being patience. In the end you wrote a complaint about him(them, KFC), you do hold a grudge against him. :)

  4. A complaint that would make them better in the future. No grudge, it's just business. :D
